Hawaii, Kauai, North Shore, Kee Beach

This is a famous movie location and excellent snorkeling area, located at the foot of the Na Pali Coast Trail. Kee Beach appeared in the popular television mini-series, The Thorn Birds. Very close to Tunnels Beach, a surfing diving snorkeling swimming location. This is shot in early May, 2007.

Its very predictable on the north shore though! Long light rain in early morning, more light rain around 4-6pm :} (In the summer of course, winter is a a different story)
Deffinetly the place to vacation at!
The south-western flatlands almost seem desert like, its interesting to see the change from north to south.

Have you lost your mind? Weather on Kauai is incredible. Rains somewhere every day on the island, but usually for a very short time, then clears up quickly. Keeps the island a garden paradise.

That must be REALLY low tide! I was there 2 years ago and the beach was filled with sand. SHITTY weather on Kauai- too many clouds and rain. The house that Meggie stayed in (the Thorn Birds house above this beach) isn’t there. I wonder if they just built it for the miniseries and then they had to remove it right away since its a public beach.

yep, an amazing place. walk a few hundred yards east and find nearly deserted beaches (at least in December).
